PortableMind Digital is a one-time license plus the machinery to use it. You pay $69, and the confirmation page hands you your setup key: a short code starting with ADOPT- followed by eight digits. (The Updater's screens call it your Adoption Key, same key.) The same key lands in your email. That key, typed into the official PortableMind Updater, authorizes it to build a full PortableMind onto a drive you supply.

The one loud warning
Digital setup erases the drive you point it at. Completely. Not a partition, not a folder, the whole drive. The Updater names the exact drive it is about to erase and makes you confirm before it touches anything, and drives under 64 GB are rejected before anything is written. But no confirmation dialog can un-erase a drive, so the rule is simple: use a new drive, or one with nothing on it you want to keep.

Your drive matters, and the Updater checks it
PortableMind runs as fast as the drive you give it. A quality USB 3.0 stick or external SSD from a known brand (SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston, Crucial) makes a quick, pleasant PortableMind. The $6 gas-station special often writes at under 10 MB/s, which would make setup take hours and the finished product feel broken.
So the Updater does not guess. Before it writes anything, it measures your drive's real speed and shows you the number. Below roughly 20 MB/s it warns you, and genuinely slow drives are blocked before anything is erased. Drives larger than 128 GB work fine; PortableMind uses up to 128 GB of whatever you give it.

Refunds are just as plain: full refund any time before your key has set up a drive. After a drive has been set up, refunds are at our discretion, email us and we will be reasonable. Bought it on a Mac by mistake? Full refund, always, because setup is Windows-only today. macOS support is coming, and if you are on a Mac the right move is to wait for it.
